Academic disciplines of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics is an underserved area for girls and teens living in households at or below the poverty threshold. KCTS partner with communities to provide STEM opportunities for teens learning from educators, businesses, and community leaders to provide teachable moments in and outside the classroom. Teens can obtain knowledge first hand rather than just read about it. Our program approach allows the individual to see themselves thriving and belonging in STEM careers giving them superiority over their future through education.
